I wanted to create this piece as snakes are very intriguing to me, there is something about them that just draws me in. They are so beautiful and unique; in the way they move, the way they look and feel. Snakes represent a creative life force, they are also symbols of rebirth as they shed their skin - a symbol of eternity and renewal of life. I just had to paint one, I loved adding the details of every scale and the transparent blooms, to portay the beauty of this creature that is often misundertood.
